Wedding Highlights 2017

Hey guys – its been a while since I last blogged. My main aim this year is to blog as many of my shoots and weddings as I possibly can. My main problem is that even though I try to cap my weddings to 25 I end up doing a hell of a lot more. I just cant help myself. I love my job so much.

So doing my wedding highlights for 2017 was so hard. There were so many incredible weddings with beautiful candid and posed shots. Going through them all has taken forever but it was so nice going back through my weddings and remembering some of the truly magical moments and what incredible days they all were. One of the many things I love about my job is that I get to meet the best people. Ill always try and keep in touch too. Ive fallen in love with family members and had some seriously big giggles with my couples.

I didnt think 2016 could be beaten but last year has been something else entirely. Last year took me to Kent and the lovely The Bulls Head Hotel where a good friend of mine got married. It was the perfect Christmas wedding. In fact during bridal preparations we were (I say ‘we’ and I use the term loosely as it was mainly me) singing along to Christmas songs. The fact it was a friend meant that my last wedding of the year was quite a special one and one where I stayed over and partied afterwards.

Dumbleton Hall has always been one of my favourite venues. Its so beautiful with a long winding road leading to the castle like venue. I was lucky enough to photograph there twice this year. The first in April where it was surrounded by blossom and bluebells and the second was the last weekend in June where my couple flew them and their families over from Chicago for the perfect Cotswold wedding. It was such an incredible wedding with people travelling from all over the world to celebrate it with them. And boy was it a celebration. I was completely in awe to be booked from someone who lives in America and thoroughly enjoyed their day with their incredibly loving family.

Last year also took me to another firm favourite Redhouse Barn which I just love working at. The venue and staff there are just fabulous. I was lucky enough to shoot there again this time in November for the wedding of Steph and Jav whose wedding moved me to tears. It was absolutely amazing. I also got to visit the stunning Mythe BarnCurradine BarnWood NortonSt Andrews Town Hotel, A stunning hotel in Cardiff, Ashton Lodge, Hampton Manor and the Holt Fleet to name but a few. It really amazes me when I look back through my year exactly how many beautiful venues and incredible people Ive met. I literally can not wait to get stuck in to 2018. I really hope you enjoy my highlights – out of 42 weddings it was so hard to choose

Heres to an amazing 2018
