Wedding Highlights from 2014

Hey there guys. Happy New Year. What an incredible year 2014 turned out to be. Ive not had much time to update my blog with the weddings, children, maternity, newborn, family and commercial shoots Ive done this year so have decided to do a blog for each section and showcase the  highlights from last year.

My first year of weddings and I was lucky to photograph 32 weddings. I did say I was going to limit myself to 25 as I still wanted time to photograph children, families, newborns, boudoir and commercial too – but I just couldn’t say no. Ive loved every single wedding and met the most amazing people. Some of whom I know I will remain good friends with. Each wedding has had its own sparkle. My Brides all put so much attention to detail and it really showed on their special day. Ive adored Bridal preps and even found myself getting a little emotional in the lead up to saying ‘I do’. Emotions are so raw.  Ive found every ceremony to be filled with love and emotion and Ive been honoured to have been chosen to document their day.

I have also been lucky enough to work alongside the incredible Nikon Ambassador Kate Hopewell Smith on 4 weddings this year, ending my spectacular wedding season working with her and Brent Kirkwood in beautiful Oxford. I also got to assist her on my first Hindu wedding at the amazing Blenheim Palace which was the most incredible experience and left me with a lovely friend in Rukmini.

This year has been full of surprises. Wonderful surprises and I simply can not wait for next year. Ive booked 20 weddings in at the moment for next year as well as family shoots in the wild flower fields and poppies. Ive also taken on a few bookings for 2016 – so excited. Im looking forward to working hard and growing my business further.
