Cassie & Luke

In June last year I got to photograph the incredible wedding of Cassie and Luke. Cassie and Luke live in Chicago where they work together.  Cassie and I chatted online for over a year – they came over a week before the wedding and stayed in beautiful Broadway, the heart of the Cotswolds with their family and friends. I met up with them for lunch a few days before. It was the first time we had met face to face and it was a lovely afternoon filled of a lot of excitement.

Cassie got ready in the stunning Broadway Hotel with her bridemaids and mum. Cassie very much wanted the British Cotswold wedding and she certainly got just that with Dumbleton Hall providing the perfect castle backdrop in the heart of the Cotswolds. Cassie’s dress was absolutely stunning topped with a veil made by her mum. We made our way to Dumbleton Hall where the ceremony was held in the church at the bottom of the winding road leading to Dumbleton Hall. Afterwards we met up with their family and friends on the lawns of the hotel for drinks and canapes.

Cassie and Luke celebrated their day in amazing style with friends and family travelling from all over the world. It was plain to see how much this couple meant to them all. The speeches were funny and emotional. I fell in love with Cassie’s dad who was very emotional throughout the day.

Their first dance was to Coldplay Paradise which they both told me so passionately about as it was the song playing when they realised they couldn’t be without each other. Im getting emotional remembering it.
