Beautiful Herefordshire Wedding of Sophie & Dominic at Homme House

A stunning Summer Country House wedding at Homme House

A perfect wedding at a beautiful Georgian Country House in Herefordshire…..

In July last year I had the absolute great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Sophie and Dominic at the incredibly stunning Georgian Country House in Much Marcle, Herefordshire. Homme House. I had never shot there before and was completely and utterly blown away. This stunning venue offers a beautiful Georgian Country House situated in 200 acres of rural countryside in Herefordshire. After Sophie and Dominic said their vows at St Bartholmews Church in Much Marcle we made our way to the top of the garden for canapes and drinks. It was such a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine. As guests chilled out in the sun we had the fabulous and extremely talented The Fidgets playing music for us.

The whole day was absolutely perfect from the look on Sophies face as she walked down the ailse to Sophies Dads speech which even gave me eye bubbles, to their friends playing the garden games giving me serious belly laughs to the first dance which was so beautiful – it was amazing.

Thank you both so much for letting me share your day with you

Here is a little sneak peek of their fantastic and magical day….

Early days- Your love story

How did you meet;

We met in a bar, had our first date the following day and then didn’t see each other again for nine months!! Thankfully, we had a second date (if not a little delayed) and nearly 10 years later we are happily married.

What attracted you to one another?

Dom: I’ve always been attracted to Sophie’s elegance and kindness

Sophie: Definitely Dom’s confidence and positivity

Tell me about the proposal…

Sophie: Dom surprised me with a trip to Venice and proposed on Burano Island. It was a genuine surprise so a bit of a blur. I wish I could re-live the moment to take it all in.

Dom: I bought the ring, booked the trip to Venice and asked her to marry me in the space of three days. It might have looked impulsive but I had been planning it for 12 months…I’m just efficient!

Your perfect day spent together would be….

Sophie & Dom: On Burano Island, looking out over the lagoon with a slice of Pizza.

What inspired you to choose your location/venue and theme of your wedding?

Great food, alcohol and music inspired our wedding – all that we, along with our friends and family enjoy. We were very lucky to enjoy all these things within the stunning setting of Homme House. Our hosts Charlie and Sarah were so welcoming and accommodating. They made their family home ours for the weekend.

Memorable moments of the day- How did you both feel on the day?

Sophie: I only got two hours sleep the night before the wedding because I was so nervous about walking down the aisle. The nerves went as soon as I saw Dom and I felt happy and very lucky.

Dom: I felt relaxed and calm as it was meant to be.

What parts stood out for you the most?

Sophie: Too many. My mum helping me get ready; Saying I do; My Dad’s speech; The First Dance; Ending the night with Fish & Chips and curry sauce (The best I’ve ever had!)

Dom: The first dance

Tell me about your Honeymoon

Where did you go? Kos

How long for? 2 weeks

What bit stands out the most: On Dom’s birthday we took a boat trip to a deserted island and had a BBQ. It was bliss!

What advice would you give other Brides to be?

Sophie: I had the best day because I didn’t over plan and just went with the flow
