Worcestershire Wedding Photography at Curradine Barns

Summer Worcestershire Wedding Photography at Curradine Barns

Another beautiful wedding at the stunning Curradine Barns in Worcestershire

In August last year I had the great pleasure of photographing the stunning wedding of Charlotte and Tom who got married at one of my favourite venues Curradine Barns. It was such an amazing day filled with so much love. I literally fell in love with both Charlotte and Tom and their families. We had a giggle during Bridal preps because everyone was so lovely and complimentary of each other and so loving – myself and the MUA and hair dresser were so welcomed it was like we had been friends for years. When the girls saw Charlotte for the first time in her dress there was not a dry eye in the house and dont even get me started on when her dad came in – even I had eye bubbles and a massive lump in my throat.

The whole day was just perfect. I particularly loved the scratch card wedding favours and actually had the pleasure of someone scratching a winner – it may have only been £1 but I got excited.

I loved their first dance which was quickly followed by Charlotte starting a konga line!!!

So here is their story

How did you meet?

We met at work. Tom likes to think I pursued him but we all know it was other way around.

How long after you first got together did you get engaged?

Tom proposed to me on Saturday 4th June 2016 after being together for 6 years. He proposed during a break away in London at the Mondrian/Sea Containers hotel. He had planned to propose in the hotels renowned roof top bar but from our bedroom he could see that it was getting increasingly busy and knew I would not enjoy a public proposal. So he opted to propose in the room with a bottle of champagne. Following the proposal Tom had secretly booked for us to enjoy a meal at Gordon Ramsy’s restaurant. We did not tell anyone we were engaged until the Sunday, enjoying every moment of the ‘newly engaged’ feeling together.

What attracted you to the venue you chose for the day?

As soon as we were engaged we both agreed that we wanted to get married in a barn as neither of us are practising Christians. Curradine Barns was the second barn we viewed and we instantly fell in love with the ceremony room. We also loved that the wedding reception would be in a separate room to the ceremony room and that there was on site accommodation for the bridal party.

Memorable moments

How did you both feel on the day?

Excited, overwhelmed and simply happy to spend the day celebrating with our closest friends and family. Happiest we’ve ever felt.

What parts stood out for you the most?

Walking down the aisle, saying our vows, speeches, wedding breakfast and having 10 minutes with each other in the secret garden.

Any funny moments that stand out the most?

My dad who was on a drinking ban until he said his father of the bride speech was seen in every photo holding two alcohol drinks! I guess he didn’t stick to that ban!

Who/what made your day extra special?

Bridesmaids and mum throughout the morning. Both Rebecca and Nat the hair and make-up ladies were amazing and made everyone feel and look amazing. Tammie – for putting everyone at ease and capturing the day so perfectly. My cousins Stephen and Mark, I couldn’t have asked them to show how much they cared any more than they did on the day. Best men and Tom (groom) speeches. Mum – cake. Band – amazing. All of the staff at Curradine – the day ran smoothly from start to finish – everyone complimented the service, food and drink throughout the day.

Honeymoon? Where did you go and how long for??

New York for 6 nights

St Lucia for 6 nights

Perfect combination of city escape and natural beauty.
